Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, an industrial conglomerate in Africa, has warned that malaria remains a huge threat despite the public health crisis posed by Covid-19.
The Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, however, called on the private sector, donors, and other sectors to redouble their commitments in eliminating malaria.
“It is easy to forget what a huge threat malaria remains for all of us in the face of public health crisis posed by Covid-19.
“We must not forget and allow the giant strides we have made in reducing the burden of malaria in our community and nation at the large slide.
“We are committed to mobilizing resources both within the private sector and other sectors to help eliminate malaria & address the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“I call on the private sector, donors, public sector, NGOs & others to redouble their commitments in eliminating malaria,”
